A new take on BBC Sherlock and CBS’ Elementary
I feel like a jerk for instantly being determined to hate Elementary, just because I am completely in love with Sherlock. They can both exist, and I am allowed to enjoy both. I re-watched the trailers and dare I say it, I am now actually looking forward to it.
I enjoyed the few moments where Holmes was mean/insensitive and clearly not behaving the way polite society expects him to. The scene in the theater where Watson is clearly embarrassed by Holmes made me smile. I hope that the show keeps up Holmes’ bizarre quirks.
So on the whole, I have to confess to previously being wrong and completely biased and unreasonable for my snap judgement of the show. I justified this judgement by claiming a devout allegiance to BBC Sherlock. There has been a lot of hate going around about Elementary in the fandom, and I am ashamed for having taken part for a bit. So…..this is all. Just my little rant of the day.
